Matt & Crystal Auclair (Instructors/Judges)

Matt is a 6 time national swing dance champion.  He is the youngest to be inducted into the Dallas Dance Hall of Fame.  He has competed across the nation since he was 8 years old.  Crystal has won numerous divisions across the nation even though she has only dance for 10 years. 
Together they teach and compete across the nation.  They have a beautiful 3 year old girl named Lily.  She already is a pretty good spinner and is a ham.  (I think she gets that from Crystal!)
Together they love dancing and sharing their passion for the dance with who they are around.  They are very excited to be here for the event and hope they will get the opportunity to dance with everyone.!!!!   

 

  

Erica Berg (Instructor/judge)

... Erica is a national level West Coast Swing competitor, instructor, and judge.  A 6-time US Open Classic division finalist and US Open Champion in the Team division, she has of late taken a hiatus from routine competition to complete her degree in Business Administration and focus more on her career in the wireless industry. Erica continues to travel nationally and internationally, teaching workshop weekends on her own, or working as a judge/head judge at many swing events.

 

Jason Miklic & Sophy Kdep (Instructors/Judges)

Jason & Annmarie Marker (Instructors/judges)

... share a love for teaching, competing, judging and performing across the country.   They both adore West Coast Swing and are passionate about sharing the love of the dance with others.   Annmarie is known for her creative dance style while Jason is known for his smooth precision.  Together they form a dynamic partnership on and off the dance floor and offer a true balance of technical and creative instruction for leaders and followers of all levels.   They hold multiple top five placements in jack and jill, Strictly Swing and Classic Divisions at dance events throughout the country.   Their biggest accomplishment is the creation and continuous development of a group of young adults from Saginaw Valley State University. (Music N Motion).

Beverly Solazzo (Instructor)

Most noted for her wonderful knowledge of shag and how to best incorporate that into West Coast Swing, Beverly (aka Bev) makes learning both fun and easy.  Thanks to both Beverly, and her partner Randy Sloan, for coming out to teach for this year's Swing City Chicago.

 

Christopher VanHouten & Colleen MacDonald (Instructors)

Chris & Colleen currently dance, teach, DJ and choreograph at May I Have this Dance in Chicago.  Starting at MIHTD in 2005 Chris and Colleen have quickly become dedicated to WCS and Hustle.  Colleen, having her BFA in dance education, has taught all types of dance throughout the West and Midwest for the past 10 years. Chris is a rising emcee for ballroom and swing events and also teaches Performance Studies at Northwestern University.
